Giving Thanks

Merci is a word you constantly use in France - thanks for your help; thanks for the service; thanks for directing me to my destination; thanks for being polite and trying to decipher my appalling French - merci, merci and merci again ...

Today we set off to discover a concept store like no other I have seen.
Located in a stunning old building filled with natural light and the most creative fit out and fabulous fittings you can imagine, Merci not only provides a visual feast, but has a philanthropic heart.
All profits are distributed to children's charities in Madagasgar.
The more you shop, the more you are helping others less fortunate - now that's a different slant in the retail world !

I want to bring this baby Fiat home with me

This portable kitchen attaches to a bicycle - a novel way to enjoy a picnic !

This counter was made of old pressed tin ceilings

The library is a great place for coffee and reading

It even has its own pretty garden

... and thanks again
